How to make shahi paneer recipe step by step
Take Tomatoes in Hot Pan
Now quickly heat a pan, and in this hot pan, we will put tomatoes. We have used five medium-sized tomatoes here. You can also use local or hybrid tomatoes here. We have used a mix here: two-hybrid and three locals, which will taste better.
Take Onion, Cashew, Almonds, and Cumin Seeds
With this, we also put onion. We have used here two medium-sized onions. All should be cut into big sizes. Make sure it should not very thin. To make it royal and very rich, we will put six-seven pieces of cashew nuts in it. We have taken the same quantity of almonds here and enhanced the flavour. We have also added Magaj here. We will add cumin seeds around half a teaspoon for a great taste.
Mixed with Garlic and Ginger
If you are fond of eating garlic and ginger, then take that too. If you don’t eat, then you can leave. Here we have put four cloves of garlic, one teaspoon of salt, and a one-inch piece of ginger.
Prepare whole spices
By the way, butter paneer masala is a little spicier. This one remains a little less spicy because the spices put in it are then taken out. Here we have taken one-inch cinnamon, two green cardamoms, three pieces long, and one black cardamom with one-star anise. Along with this, take two tablespoons of butter as well. After mixing, we will cook it by adding a little water.
Make Gravy Silky
In this step, you have to wait till it boils so that the tomatoes melt and then cook them all together. By doing this, the Gravy will become very silky. This step will take you 15-20 minutes. After everything was cooked, we turned off the gas and left it to cool down.
Remove and Grind the Whole Spices
After cooling, remove the standing spices and grind them in a mixer grinder. From which we will make a puree out of it. The puree has to be made very soft and smooth; keep in mind that it should not be thick. Add water if required.
Straining the Puree
After this, to make Shahi Paneer Shahi, we must strain this puree so that whatever small pieces are there. It will be removed. So, friends, our puree is now ready. After this, the rest is to add the tempering to it.
Do tempering
Heat the pan again for tempering. In this again, take butter from around two tablespoons. If you want, you can also use ghee in it. There will be no problem. As soon as the butter becomes slightly hot, add one to two tablespoons of Kashmiri red chili powder, which gives a lovely colour. We have also lightly put turmeric powder and green coriander leaves around a tablespoon here. Will mix it well. Now our tempering is done.
Mix with Paneer
After that, add cheese and fry it. We have used 200 grams of paneer, which we have cut into small pieces. After that, we have to roast the Panner in butter or ghee. Paneer also becomes soft, due to which it tastes excellent. You just have to fry it for around 2 minutes.
Added some Sweet (optional)
After that, you can add the rest of the ingredients like we have put around 50 grams of condensed milk (khoa). If you do not have khoya at home, you can add cream.
Mix the Gravy
Now you have to add gravy and mix it. After this, add water and then mix it well. You must take around a teaspoon of sugar and salt according to taste. You can add a little saffron, making the flavour look even better. This will also make the colour good in shahi paneer.
Wait until Gravy comes to Boil and Adds the Flavor
The next step is to mix it well and wait for it to boil. We have to boil it for 2-3 minutes. We will add a little cream (around three teaspoons) when it comes to a boil. You can mix a little milk with a bit of cream here. It will give a delicious flavour.
